The swinging sixties saw the birth of what is now a world wide group of companies that have devoted the past forty years to the design, manufacturer of innovative audio equipment. Everyone uses Audio Technica products and it is not just musicians and rock concerts, the equipment was used in the summer games in Athens and in the 2000 Olympics plus many Super Bowl finals and World Cup football tournaments to name only a handful of sporting events which were all streamed around the world using Audio Technica.
The journey begins with Hideo Matsushita who established the Audio Technica Corporation in Tokyo's Shinjuku-ku and produced the Audio Technica one and the Audio Technica three millimetre phono cartridge distributing to big audio equipment houses in Japan. The demand was so great due to the quality that the company grew and moved to larger operations premises in Japan to accommodate.
